As an independent management consultant and facilitator, Thomas Appleyard has worked with more than 80 caring organizations and collaborations – primarily in the summer camp and health sectors.
Thomas has over 20 years of experience in emergency management, including as Manager of Emergency Response & Recovery with Ontario’s Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
In addition to his independent consulting / facilitation work, Thomas is Part-Time Faculty at the Schulich School of Business, President of the Camp Safety Network, and Camp Wenonah's Director of Camp Kivita: a camp for children with organ transplants and organ failure.
Thomas has a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Social Work, a Master of Business Administration, a Certificate in Workplace Coaching and a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the University of Toronto and York University. He has additional certifications in occupational health & safety, psychological health & safety, emergency management training, and food safety.
